DAY 01 … / CUSCO
Arrival in Cusco, reception and transfer to the chosen Hotel.
Rest of the morning at leisure for acclimatization.
Half Day City Tour + 04 Nearby Ruins
We leave the hotel or meeting spot, for the Cathedral. It was built on the site of Kiswarcancha Solar (Palace of the Wiracocha Inca). Later, we will visit the Koricancha Temple. We will then visit Sacsayhuaman, located 2 km. away from Cusco and considered to be among the new Seven Wonders of the World. It was considered by the Incas as the House of the Sun and by the Spaniards as a Fortress. In a nearby plain, every June 24th, they celebrate the Inti Raymi (Feast of the Sun). We will then go to Qenqo, a temple built into the living rock with an underground chamber. Puca Pucara is 6 km. away from Cusco. In Quechua Puca means “red” and Pucara “fort”. It was a control post of the Inca trail. Tambomachay is 7km. from Cusco. Known as the Inca Baths, it is an important place built to worship water. Return to the hotel.
DAY 02 CUSCO / MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO

Full Day Excursion to Machupicchu. Buffet Lunch Included
Very early in the morning we leave the hotel for the train station in Cusco, where we will board the tourist train to the Machupicchu ruins, located 113km. from Cusco and at 2350 m.a.s.l. It is in a subtropical area with an average annual temperature of 13° C during the day. There are two clearly defined seasons: the rainy season, from November to March and dry season from April to October. Hiram Bingham discovered this Inca City on the July 24th, 1911. This archaeological complex is divided in two sections: the farming section and the urban one, which are subdivided into sites such as: check points, the high cemetery and ceremonial rock, the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, the sacred rock group, the Three windowed temple, the main Temple, tombs, doors, fountains and squares. First, lunch in Machupicchu and then back to Cusco. Return to the Cusco.

DAY 03 CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY / CUSCO

Full Day at the Sacred Valley of the Incas + Lunch
Visit to the native fair in Pisaq (only Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). We will visit the trip along the Sacred River (Vilcanota) on paved road, arrival at Urubamba, lunch, trip at Ollantaytambo town and fortress, back to Cusco Through Chinchero (Cusco Plateau). This beautiful and inviting valley between Pisaq and Ollantayyambo was esteemed by our ancestors due to the special conditions it has like: beneficial climate, generous fertility of its land, and the presence of the Wilcamayu or Sacred River. In this zone, the Incas found an appropriate place to leave samples of their wide knowledge on hydraulics and their deep love for nature. it is known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Pisaq, picturesque town with half-breed colonial appearance. On Sundays, people celebrate the traditional mass in Quechua with the attendance of the Varayocs or native Mayors. Overnight stay Cusco Hotel.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.
At the proper time transfer to the chosen hotel to the Cusco Airport to board your flight back.
